23.01.2022 Great weekend of racing at Qld State Championships for Sprint , Marathon and Canoe Polo Team Brisbane had a great representation across all 3 disciplines and some PBs and bling to come home with. We will have all the results shortly but in the meantime our first round of pics. Well done to Stu, John, Sue, Pete, Pita, Eva, Tommy, Tom, Liam, Tom and Sam! A big Thankyou to Paddle Qld and all the volunteers that make these events possible.

20.01.2022 Care for a quick paddle - to New Zealand. Paddling extraordinaire Richard Barnes paddling across the ditch solo. Richard, over 50 is well known in adventure racing with his dunlop volleys and a few pies for nutrition he always goes the distance. He has a many years kayaking long distance under his belt. He may have a bt of trouble getting this boat in his car racks though. Good luck.

20.01.2022 Race results. Super glassy before the race then gusty winds thereafter. The race had some great talent especially from the girls. Not often you see 4 females in the front 8 on the first bend and hold position. Stuart Bryson had a pb with a 49.45 10k. Super Peter Hopwood a contender for a podium suffered a submarine style turn, followed by a superb re-entry somehow jumping over the number at the back into the cockpit and paddled a submerged boat to shore. Pete made an unofficial restart for a 45min time from his watch. Thanks to Sunshine Coast Paddlesports for the first race back. The race ran very smoothly with a range of craft paddling the beautiful Maroochy river.

10.01.2022 It was a magnificent morning on the Brisbane River today. Perfect for kicking off our second Intro to Kayaking. Our next Intro sessions begin in October and we have already started to take bookings. The last two groups have been full so get in early to secure your spot
