20.01.2022 SURPRISE! We are back in Australia! We have had an amazing 9 months exploring Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and have had so many awesome experiences. Its a little earlier than we originally planned, but now were super excited to be coming home and starting our new lives together in Brisbane. 14.01.2022 Making the most of our detour! Yesterday we were meant to make it to Namibia, however our guides didnt have work permits so after 3 hours at the border and a some car park cricket (quite entertaining for the border guards! ) we had to turn around and head back into Botswana. Luckily we found a lovely campsite to hang out at until everything is sorted Welcome to travel life in Africa!

And of course, being the sympathetic partner that I am, I rented a bike to explore on my own to show solidarity while she was iced up in bed.

11.01.2022 Hey everyone! Were having an amazing time relaxing and getting some sun in Phuket. But we are completely shocked at how expensive it is to withdraw money from an ATM. They all charge 220 baht ($10.60) per transaction- how ridiculous! Luckily our ING debit card REFUNDS all transaction fees, or wed be broke already. We have saved over $550 on fees this financial year, thats less than 4 months! ... Just a heads up for anyone heading to Thailand this summer, consider getting an ING Orange Everyday bank account (or another that refunds ATM fees internationally) to save yourself some $$$. PSA over ... Now back to our cocktails (and Dan to his footy)

10.01.2022 Weve arrived in Zimbabwe before our three week African overland tour! Internet and electricity are very intermittent (so much that restaurants have a "power-cut menu"), so we might not be able to update as much as we want. To make up for it heres some photos of our border crossing (which took 4 hours) a warthog that charged me, and the standard power-cut menu!

09.01.2022 Oh Sarajevo, a city weve wanted to visit for so long! You are a picturesque, rough around the edges, cultural melting pot and even more fascinating than we imagined! Infamous for being the place where Franz Ferdinand (Archduke of Austria) was assassinated in 1914- sparking events causing WW1; and for the terrible siege of Sarajevo- a 44 month long attack on the city during the Bosnian war in the 1990s (the longest siege in modern history!). Weve loved every second of our time here, and are super excited for our tour today to visit some tunnels used to sneak in supplies to the city during the siege, and the 1984 bobsled track from when Sarajevo hosted the Winter Olympics!
