25.01.2022 Event number 123 - 25th December 2020 This week 146 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 43 were first timers and 17 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 18 different clubs took part. The event was made possible by 10 volunteers:... The female record is still held by Marnie PONTON who recorded a time of 16:38 on 23rd March 2019 (event number 73). The male record was set today and is now held by Benjamin JAGGER who recorded a time of 16:30. Ben also stuck around to help scan for us. Huge congrats and thanks to Ben Also a huge congrats to Lynda TOWSIE on her first run around East Richmond for completing her 300th park run. Thanks for choosing East Richmond to complete this awesome achievement and milestone. East Richmond parkrun started on 4th November 2017. Since then 2,579 participants have completed 13,528 parkruns covering a total distance of 67,640 km, including 2,707 new Personal Bests. A total of 300 individuals have volunteered 1,365 times.

25.01.2022 We are looking good for Christmas day volunteer numbers, but a little short on Boxing Day. Please let us know if you are interested and available for either day (the more the merrier.......). Looking forward to seeing the Parkrun Family back at Ham Common soon.

24.01.2022 There will be no NYD parkrun at East Richmond tomorrow.... Regarding Saturday (2nd Jan), at this stage we are still planning to go ahead. Under NSW Heath guidelines we are ok, and as per advice we will be insisting all in attendance check in via the QR code system. We will strongly suggest every one wears a mask, uses hand sanitizer and maintains social distancing as per NSW Health advice. Please also note we encourage you to make your own personal choice to participate /... attend or not. Please do not attend if you have been anywhere near a known hotspot, or if you are feeling unwell. Please also do not attend if you are uncomfortable with any aspect of health or the event. We will of course keep closely monitoring the situation and advice and will update accordingly. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you park running soon.

24.01.2022 Hi Guys we are working hard to be back for the 19th of December, Worst case we will be having a Christmas day park run as well as starting on the 26th. At this stage the 19th is still on but stay tuned. It's more the logistics of keeping everyone safe at this point.

Then this week only two PBs (the course detour may have confused our regulars who made it!), David (in 6th place overall) and Thomas (our junior U10 runner in 24th place), welcome back from soccer!. Clearly we missed all our runners from North of the river, who missed out today by hours...... See you all next week for a huge Easter Parkrun fueled by cheap chocolate!

Hi everyone, as you know all about the health issues going on at the moment I want to write to you all and mention that parkrun at east richmond will not continue at the discretion of myself (Dean) and my awesome team of Run Directors. ... For the most part if everyone is smart about their health and uses the information given to us we can stay relatively safe Thanks again everyone in this scary time and I will be posting regular updates as the days go on.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone Its been a long time but here is an update on the further of parkrun in nsw. We will have a two week notice before starting up again so rest assured once I know. You will know. We will also be looking for vollies that starting week so once the notice goes out please if you have time! ... New South Wales (NSW) NSW Health updated its framework for community sport organisations on 24 September. Whilst a small number of our events will sometimes exceed the participant limit of 500 people, we have submitted our COVID-19 Framework to the Minister for Health, Brad Hazzard, and are working with the government to understand if there is a way for all of our events in NSW to open.

14.01.2022 We will remember.... It is different, but no less significant. East Richmond Parkrun begins at the War Memorial opposite the RAAF base, we share a unique location and special bond. It is special. Thank you to all our Veterans.

12.01.2022 We are still on for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Thanks to all the vollies! Couple of things for every one to take note. Please let us know if you are coming on Christmas day via the facebook event. Please mark 'coming' if you are planning on attending.... Currently only 28 have indicated this. It would really help with our logistics. Please bring your phone, or arrange with a family member to be available, so you can sign in. All participants will be required to be signed in, prior to taking part. Please bring your own hand sanitizer. We are a community event, volunteer based, and do not have the budget to supply hand sanitizer, but we would love it to be used extensively. Cant wait to see everyone on Friday and / or Saturday.....

Please again make your own decision about coming, if you are not feeling 100%, if you have been anywhere near a hotspot or if you have any reservations about coming please do not. We encourage the use of masks and sanitizer and insist every one checks in via QR code and social distances. Hope to see you all soon....

06.01.2022 Hope every one had a great Saturday morning getting ready for Parkrun next week! We are still on for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Of course we are watching the current events unfold and will keep everyone up dated as things progress. Unless you hear otherwise - WE ARE ON...... That being said, we are looking to fill the volunteer rosters for the coming weeks. Please let us know if you are interested and available. There are a couple of spots available on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day (should both be fun events). January 2nd is still a little way off, but will get here soon and is a little light on at this stage.
