19.01.2022 Keeping your child in care during Covid-19. In these challenging times, we are committed to supporting families by opening our new service in Bell Post Hill. Here is some helpful information from the Australian Government about their support for families using Imagination Garden. "Participation in a quality Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) program provides positive developmental opportunities for children and helps prepare them for formal schooling. While your child ...is in ECEC they continue to benefit from play-based learning and develop language, communication and social skills through interacting with their peers." The Australian Government is making it easier for families to retain their place in their childcare centre while also not being financially penalised when needing to keep their child at home. 02.01.2022 We are opening in just a few months! Time to start getting ready We recycle, especially when it comes to childrens craft and using our imagination. Here is something we will do with the children, but it is also a terrific idea for home. RECYCLED CRAFT: Collect, milk bottles, carboard rolls, bottle caps, egg cartons etc. ... Having a box filled with recycled items provides an open-ended engaging activity for children. Add some masking tape and markers watch your childrens imagination take over. If you wish to create a more guided activity simply search google for recycled craft for kids. There are endless ideas for things you can create with a few simple household items.

02.01.2022 Last weekend our gardener made some changes to our garden by adding more large rocks, creating pathways for the children to wander through and planting interesting plants for the children to explore. Then the educators spent the week encouraging children to walk around the plants (and leave them in the ground). We are a work in progress as we all learn and grow.
