Instead, we threw caution to the wind, explored some rabbit holes to uncover some hidden gems to help you grow and improve your photography business. 21.01.2022 A short 'bonus' and feel-good interview to finish off the week with Mia Stone. Mia recently signed up to become a PhotoBizX Premium Member. After joining, we exchanged some emails and I learnt Mia was offering her services and skills to other local small businesses during the pandemic free. In one of her messages, she said:... During COVID I noticed a lot of jobs lost and business's having to close down. So I quickly sprung into action and have been rushed off my feet helping local business's go from a bricks and mortar store to online in a week. I photograph their products and then create, design and launch their new website and also provide them with marketing assets to compliment the new launch. I have been doing this free of charge since the pandemic hit in March and I have been filled with so much joy and gratitude by doing so. It has been an absolute pleasure being able to use my skillset in design, tech and photography to service those who truly believed their business would go under. 21.01.2022 A new interview just went live with our very own Craig Cooper from WA. Craig has been a long time PhotoBizX Premium Member but it wasn't until he participated in the recent Daily Vlog Challenge that I had a glimpse into the success he's achieved. His studio known as The Birdhouse is simply amazing. An architecturally designed, three-level dedicated studio and office space that offers both natural and studio lighting options, with a look that will blow clients away upon a...rrival for their photography session. After a little more research, I learned the following Craig has been a professional photographer since 2000 and started shooting weddings in 2003. He opened a studio in Western Australia in 2007 and transitioned from weddings to studio portraits only, by 2009. In the last year of shooting weddings, he had a five-figure sales average and people thought he was mad to give up weddings. Craig opened the Bird House Studio in September 2019. He only works about 30-35 hours per week in total and says he's a lazy photographer. Over an eleven-year period, Craig has averaged 450 shoots per year. In this interview, Craig shares how to build a photography business for profit, passion, lifestyle and fun by following the numbers and photographing what he loves to. It turns out, all portrait genres are equally profitable, so you may as well focus on what you love to photograph. Here's the link: https://photobizx.com/379

21.01.2022 A new interview just went live with senior portrait photographer, Tracy Moore - who has one of the most unique, fun, inspiring and profitable business models I've heard after recording more than 350 interviews. NOTE: Although it's not the main focus, this is the first interview where a guest has gone into detail about using Snap Chat successfully for a photography business application.

Matt worked as a photographer in London for a few years before moving to Sydney, Australia when he was 26 to start the video software company which became Bonjoro. Why video?... The idea was born from a sales-hack for his second business, where he would send every new lead a personal video instead of a plain-text email. 16.01.2022 A new follow up interview just went live with Michelle Fey from last week. In that interview, Michelle shared details about her new price list and how she was able to generate the same income and spend half the time she was in her newborn photography business. After the interview went live, Michelle emailed me saying... Hehe, so much has changed even since this interview, all in a great way!! I immediately contacted Michelle, heard about the new changes and asked if she'd be happy to record a follow-up. She agreed and this interview is the result. What I wasn't ready for was to hear all about Pop In Portraits and how they have made such an impact on Michelle's business and life. How had I not heard about these $20 sessions!? More importantly, do you know about them and how they could benefit your business? Here's the link: https://photobizx.com/384

14.01.2022 A new interview just went live with a VERY successful businesswoman working in the wedding niche - Blair DeLaubenfels. Blair was recommended by Premium member, Kelli Carter Wilke who emailed me to say Blair DeLaubenfels was the founder and owner of June Bug Weddings. She has recently launched a new site: World's Best Wedding Photos.... She was doing some consulting about photography curation with the editor of Rangefinder Magazine for the 30Rising stars issue last year. Kelli says... I was chosen by the editors to submit to that contest, which is how I found Blair. It was hell trying to put together 30 images for the submission and I hired her to help me curate that gallery. Kelli went on to say I thought it would be interesting to hear Blair share how to curate photos, and how to use contests and publishing to elevate a photographers marketing and SEO efforts. Its what Ive been doing now for a couple of years and its given me street cred as well as the confidence to charge what I do for wedding coverage. I did some research, totally agreed with Kelli and approached Blair for this interview to tap into some of her 22 years in the wedding world as a photographer, author, consultant, speaker, executive, and publisher. In this interview, Blair shares how to curate your way to photography success and why curation really is the one big thing that will bring you bookings, recognition and profitability in your photography business. I approached Sarah for this interview, right after she emailed me saying... Hey Andrew, I thought I'd reach out to you as I had a win with a Zoom photography session that I thought might help some other photographers out there. I've spoken with a few photographers and no one was quite doing it this way, and it had incredible results for me. Attached is a press release I am getting out and about today and some samples from the session. If you think listens might be interested I’d be happy to take you through it in more detail to share with them. Kind regards, Sarah In this interview, Sarah shares all the details on her Zoom family photography sessions and utilising them to bring in some income, help her clients and to gain some terrific exposure for her photography and business. 01.01.2022 A new interview just went live and we're talking numbers, with photographer, Richard Waine. Richard is a US-based headshot photographer recommended by previous guest, Alma Bruffy. She said when introducing him... He is a financial guru Really! He has helped me realise my spending, budget and cash flow, through spreadsheets he has created for photographers. He has a background in finance and has shared his experience and knowledge with many of us in Peter Hurley's Headshot Crew, where he serves as a Mentor. I went off and did a little digging before sending an invite and found a beautiful website and excellent headshot photography. It wasn't easy to see if he was successful or not, but the signs were good from his website and work. Some more searching and I found he's a university graduate, worked most of his career in finance before finding his calling as a headshot photographer. That was enough to have me contact Richard to see if he'd be interested in sharing his financial insights and how they apply to running a photography business today. In this interview, we dive deep into the numbers you need to be focusing on if you're looking to achieve financial freedom through your photography business. And ultimately, how to achieve financial success as a photographer. Here's the link: https://photobizx.com/372
