17.01.2022 A massive milestone for Victoria! We have met the technical definition of eradication of the coronavirus, with 28 days in a row of 0 new cases! As we know from public health experts, the virus can still be out there undetected and lurking in our community. New Zealand met this milestone, but later saw the virus re-emerge at one point. We must be on guard at all times. It is why keeping our testing rates up, following the guidelines on social distancing and hygiene is ...so important. Well done to all Victorians! See more

13.01.2022 Another day of cases under 5, but really important for Victoria is MYSTERY CASES are at just 2 cases. While we will see new cases from time to time, if we know that they are linked to known outbreaks, then that is the critical thing. With only two mystery cases in the past 14 days, this is incredible news and affirms the decision to ease restrictions.

11.01.2022 Wonderful to celebrate our newest Australian citizens, along the awarding of Citizen of the Year, Outstanding Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year at the Kingston Council Australia Day event. Wonderful to meet Tracey from Edithvale, who spoke beautifully about the opportunities Australia has provided her, as she took the pledge of citizenship today. Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing as a nurse! We welcoming 40 new Australian citizens today and ...paid tribute to the 84 new citizens that had to do their ceremonies online during 2020. And here are the incredible award winners for the City of Kingston! Community Group of the Year - Pantry 5000 for their incredible support of those doing it tough in our community over a number of years. 10.01.2022 Good morning Victoria! 29 days running now and really looking forward to further easing of restrictions next week. As always, we need to keep our testing up if we have even mild symptoms. Have a great weekend.

10.01.2022 JUST 1 NEW CASE TODAY! A brilliant start to the weekend! And our mystery cases stand at just 2! Incredibly more than 23,000 Victorians came forward for testing yesterday when they had symptoms, which is just awesome. Testing is critical, along with all the safety measures we do routinely now, to keeping this virus in check. So thank you!

10.01.2022 Incredible news, building on an incredible effort by our whole community. THANK YOU and have a great weekend everyone!

10.01.2022 The Level Crossings are GONE and Cheltenham Station is OPEN!! A little while ago, we ‘remotely’ opened our new Cheltenham station while we were staying home and keeping our community safe. Now restrictions are easing and it is so great to be getting back out into the community and opening this station for real! ... Although the Level Crossings are gone and the Station is open, we are still hard at work on car parking, landscaping, and other finishing touches on this project. On track for full completion next year!

09.01.2022 Lozzie reckons I’m not winning any fashion awards, with my Paisley face socks, but love the Chelsea Seagulls and can’t wait to see them back in full flight. Beautiful day for it and hope you and your family are doing okay.

06.01.2022 Melbourne Cup Day couldn’t start any better! This is starting to look like my cricket scores over the last 4 days, 0 0 0 0 Hope everyone has a wonderful day! For me, it will be painting the fence!

06.01.2022 In Parliament for the next couple of weeks as part of my role on the Parliamentary Committee that assesses the Victorian Budget and response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Premier is up first today answering questions. It is such a critical time for all Victorians as we recover from the impacts of the pandemic and build back even better, to set our State and communities up for the future. Might get a few sneaky questions on the Suburban Rail Loop and upgrades to our schools and hospitals.

06.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be. That's the theme of this year's NAIDOC week - an important time for recognition and celebration of our State and country's rich cultural history. First Nations people have occupied and cared for Australia for over 65,000 years, and that history can teach us so much about our beautiful, unique country. There are a range of events as part of NAIDOC week - for more information and to find an event near you, visit: http://www.naidoc.org.au

05.01.2022 Before and After the post-Iso haircuts for Toby and I Who's had the bigger transformation?

05.01.2022 There’s BIG smile under this mask and it’s because we’re starting work on the rail trench and Removing Level Crossings in Chelsea, Edithvale, and Bonbeach!! The piling rig is up and working, digging 14 meters deep, and building the foundations of the rail trench here near Swanpool Avenue. Exciting times and big things ahead! Thanks for putting up with the disruptions so far

04.01.2022 Get around McHappy Day today and support kids who are doing it tough and their families. You can pick up things silly socks, with funds raised supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities. As you might know, Paisley and I love a sneaky burger and every $2 dollars from a Big Mac goes to a good cause.

03.01.2022 Because a few have been asking, here’s what Halloween will look like this year While we can’t celebrate in the normal ways we would, there are alternative options: Have a Halloween party outside in a public place. You can catch up with a group of up to ten people (including yourself). Babies under 12 months age aren’t included in the ten-person limit. An outdoor public place means an area accessible to everyone, including local parks and beaches.... Do a Halloween scavenger hunt by giving children a list of Halloween-themed things to look for as they walk outdoors from house to house admiring Halloween decorations at a distance. Just like eye-spy! The limit of ten people (including yourself) applies to scavenger hunts. Carve or decorate pumpkins with members of your household. Decorate your house. Have a virtual costume party or party with friends and family on video chat. Have a Halloween movie night with your household. Create an around the house trick or treat or scavenger hunt for your household Handing out lollies or candy Coronavirus is still with us and celebrating at home is the safest way to mark Halloween this year. If you do trick or treat, you need to stay safe. It is safer not to hand out lollies or candy to trick-or-treaters this Halloween. This is because the virus can spread on surfaces, including food or packaging. Under current restrictions traditional trick or treating where you knock on someone’s door is not permitted. If you can’t resist handing out lollies this year you can do so by having candy available outside of your home. Don’t use communal bowls for lollies or candy. Putting lollies in a shared bowl will mean everyone is touching the same food and surfaces which isn’t safe. Instead, put individually wrapped lollies or candy in bags for non-contact collection. Place bags on your fence, at your front gate or outside your home for collection. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before preparing the bags or individually wrapped lollies or candy. And of course remember: This Halloween there are some actions you can take to keep your friends, family and community safe, while still enjoying yourself. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) get tested and stay at home. By staying at home this Halloween, you help to keep your friends, family and community safe. Wear a face mask with your costume, but remember that a costume mask that is part of your Halloween costume is not a substitute for a face mask. Consider making your own mask and decorating it. Keep at least 1.5 metres between yourself and people you don’t live with. This means no hugging or kissing when greeting people. Don’t share food or drinks.

03.01.2022 Where should we take the pic Loz? You should take it in the wardrobe so you can be the politician, the witch and the wardrobe! Still no idea what she’s talking about but I hope everyone has a dreadfully spooky Halloween

03.01.2022 After so much work to get this done, it is an honour to represent our students with disabilities, their parents, educators, and their school communities, and stand up as the Parliamentary Secretary for Schools to deliver this funding. The Disability Inclusion package announced in the Victorian Budget will change the lives of our students who need that additional support in the classroom. It will double the number of students receiving extra support in the classroom to 55,000 ...and enable better support for students who may have previously been ineligible for targeted support such as those with autism, dyslexia or complex behaviours. And the new strengths based approach will put the focus into what our kids can do and how we can work together to support them to achieve their goals. I couldn't be more proud.
