22.01.2022 Fantastic result from the team at UFC Gym Fountain Gate competing at the Grappling Industries this weekend. 8 Gold medals. 4 silver. 2 Bronze. All of the team's performances were a show of true martial arts. ... As a coach, the responsibility of leading and guiding is a big task and not taken lightly. Those who competed for the first time had nerves of steel and fought to the end. One student had severe cramps as a result of a health issue and could not even walk after his semi final, but still made his way back onto the mat for the finals and was shown full respect from his opponent. 19.01.2022 Our team from UFC Gym Fountain Gate competed in the Grappling Industries tournament today. Inside a stuffy stadium with no AC, on a 37C day. Some of my students started competing in the morning and pushed through until night. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Some of the guys with multiple submissions and victories, upwards of 10 matches for the day. Not all got medals, but all represented my brand of jiu-jitsu and the team with true warrior spirit. ...
