18.01.2022 Golf Tip. Address Position and Impact Position are completely different. Most golfers have no idea of Impact yet this is what it is all about when the Clubhea...d strikes the ball. This is the Moment of Truth. Everything we do MUST make this happen. The one thing that all great golfers have in common is the correct IMPACT. Most players feel that Address and Impact are the same. If we come back to Address Position at Impact we call this address Impact misery because this only leads to erratic golf and more confusion. Book a lesson with Duntryleague Professional Johnny Furze and he will put you onto the right path to Better Golf. See more

17.01.2022 Very Sad to see this sort of damage to our lovely course. Happened last night on the 10th and 12th fairways. We ask if anyone has any information in regards to this to please come forward and see us. ... Lucky all the greens are ok.

16.01.2022 Johnny Furze (PGA, GSED) The Golfing Machine. The Golfing Machine is a "SYSTEM" not a Method and advocates not a "The Way" but a "My Way". It is very flexible. Homer Kelley author of The Golfing Machine tracked the Golf Stroke Pattern (Chapter 12) to 24 Basic Stroke Components not 5,10, 15 but 24 actual Stroke Components. You can not spell cat, sat or mat with only half the letters of the alphabet. Each Component has between 3 to 15 Variations (Chapter 10) with a total of 144... Variations as summarised in Chapter 11. Now if you were to bake a cake we need all the Components for example the ingredience, bowls, mix master, oven etc but when it comes to the Variations what type of sugar do we need caster sugar, icing sugar, brown sugar which everone you use we can still make the cake. This is why we see so many different swings as there are so many Variations. Different Variations may be substituted for the shot at hand or if a speciality type of shot is required. It is all there for YOU. Homer Kelley loved the game. It broke his heart seeing so many golfers having trouble in golf. This inspired Homer to gather all the possible information about the golf stroke. He Tested and Practiced, listing and categorizing and then he evaluated it all and published the first Edition of The Golfing Machine in 1969, we are now up to the 7th Edition. Remember this is NOT a " The Way" but a "My Way". There is not just one way only to make a Golf Stroke. See more

13.01.2022 Johnny Furze (PGA, GSED) Doctorate Instructor The Golfing Machine. There are 24 Basic Components in the Golf Stroke and every player has them whether you know it or not. There are between 3 to 15 Variations (a total of 144 Variations) to each Component. For example the first Component is Grip Basic, there are 5 different grips, Overlapping, Interlocking, Baseball to mention a few. They are all correct in themselves. Component No. 6 is Basic Plane Angles, Clubshaft Control. Co...mponent No.7 is to do with Plane Angle Variations. For anyone who has The Golfing Book this can be found in the 7th Edition on page 160. Plane Angle Variations are classified according to the shifts in the Plane Angle of the Path of the Stroke. A shift may be made during the Backswing, during the Downstroke or at the Top of the Stroke. 10-7-A - ZERO SHIFT. This is the particular Plane Angle Variations that Bryson DeChambeau uses (winning the 2020 US Open). This states that one Basic Plane Angle is to be used throughout the Stroke without a "Variation - there is NO SHIFT. Homer Kelley author of The Golfing Machine recommended this as the easiest and best Plane Angle Variations for the simple reason you are not Shifting from one Plane to another. Matthew Wolff uses a "Reverse Loop" Plane Angle Variations (10-7 -G page 161). So there is no one way to making a golf stroke. There is no one method but a System and The Golfing Machine explains this. You take one Variation of each of the 24 Stroke Components and that is your Basic Swing Pattern (Variations can be changed according if required or trying something different. You will become your own Mechanic of your Machine. If something happens to the Machine you may have to tighten or loosen a bolt or two BUT you will know what to do. See more

01.01.2022 The Basic Motion of the golf stroke is 2 feet back and 2 feet feet through. Grip the club in left hand as shown and take your normal right hand grip. The left a...rm and clubshaft form a straight line from the front on and down the line view (primary lever). The butt end of the club must remain on the inside of the left arm at all time. This will keep the LEFT WRIST FLAT throughout the stroke. The FLAT LEFT WRIST is your no.1 IMPERATIVE and is MANDATORY at and through the impact zone from your shortest chip to your longest drive. The no.1 disrupter of the golf stroke is BENDING the left wrist and FLATTENING the right wrist through impact. This causes the clubhead to pass the hands causing an UPWARD and INWARD swing path. This short stroke is your gateway to better golf. If we can not do this correctly in a short and slow motion how can we expect to achieve the correct impact with a full powered driver.
