25.01.2022 Stand in solidarity with First Nations Peoples this Invasion Day meeting at 10am Queens Gardens and marching to Musgrave Park. Out of respect, please do not wear or carry Greens paraphernalia. #invasionday #abolishaustraliaday #noprideingenocide #alwayswasalwayswillbe
25.01.2022 Were on the home stretch, friends. Now is the time to get involved to get Patsy OBrien - Greens for Miller elected on October 31.
25.01.2022 For details on how Queensland education can look with Greens in parliament, check out this post Patsy OBrien - Greens for Miller.
24.01.2022 Great post by Patsy OBrien - Greens for Miller about union activist and suffragist Emma Miller, who the seat of Miller is named after.
24.01.2022 Heres a snapshot of how your Senators voted last week #auspol
23.01.2022 Its great to see so many people donating their used baby goods this morning to Baby Give Back who help families in crisis. Come on down to Tarragindi Child Car...e & Development before 11 this morning to meet some locals and bring some change if youd like to buy something from the coffee van. I highly recommend the hot chocolate with baby marshmallows. See more
22.01.2022 From Claire Garton - Greens for Toohey: Queenslanders need jobs and they need homes. Lets create jobs by creating social housing! ... Homes would be first allocated to those currently on Queenslands social housing waiting list, then made available to every Queenslander regardless of income. Rents would be capped at 25% of a persons income or market rent, whichever is lower. The plan would cost $35 billion over the next four years and be financed by revenue raised from a levy on the big banks and higher mining royalties.
20.01.2022 Wheres the lie?
19.01.2022 Denniss article on benefit cuts is well worth a read. Time to demand evidence-based policies from our governments. "Deciding that we want to cut the incomes of millions of people in order to motivate a small number of people has nothing to do with evidence or efficiency, its simply downward envy."
19.01.2022 Beautiful post on Greens doing politics differently by Katinka Winston-Allom - Greens for Cooper

14.01.2022 How is this democracy?
13.01.2022 Is anybody else seeing this?
13.01.2022 Old, but gold! Time for politics done differently.
12.01.2022 Happy election eve! I had a fabulous day spending time with my volunteers and voters on Miller's prepoll booths. I also joined a bunch of other fantastic Greens... candidates and our awesome reps Michael Berkman - Greens MP for Maiwar and Senator Larissa Waters at the city hall booth. The growing support for our movement to make mining companies and the big banks pay their fair share, so we can fund essential services, is palpable. Regardless of the results tomorrow, I'm incredibly proud of all our candidates and campaigners across the state and all of the time and energy that has been spent spreading our message of a future for all of us. I'm blown away by the size and calibre of the team we've built in Miller and incredibly grateful to be supported by so many awesome people. If you haven't already, don't forget to vote tomorrow. All the details you need to vote, wherever you are in Queensland, are here. vote.greens.org.au
12.01.2022 These photos were taken at Christmas Island Hospital before Priyas medical evacuation to Perth. Government officials would not allow her husband Nades or QLD-b...orn daughters to accompany her. Priya cannot even comfort her girls with a video call because the same officials will not allow Nades to use wi-fi - the only way they can connect, with Christmas Islands poor mobile coverage. Today, can you please tap bit.ly/CallyourMP or bit.ly/RingSenators and contact your government MP or Senator? Ask them to speak to Minister Tudge, who has the power to re-unite this family and bring them home to Biloela with the stroke of his pen.
12.01.2022 Whos in for some Covid-safe action?
11.01.2022 "When it comes to climate change, Australians are familiar with hot air." Nice burn, ABC.
10.01.2022 Great share, Claire

07.01.2022 We're so lucky to have Toohey Forest right on our doorstep, and it doesn't get much better than after some decent rain.
07.01.2022 Free face masks for those in need in Mackie street Moorooka. Pm me if you need one for a child or for a beard.
05.01.2022 What could be better than MB as MP?? More like him in a strong Greens cross-bench! Just over 3 months to get involved to make it happen. Join the movement here: https://greens.org.au/qld/volunteer
05.01.2022 Im so happy to see that Uncle Sam Watson has been memorialised with this awesome mural at Bunyapa Park. It was a privilege to know Uncle Sam, an inspiring grassroots organiser and advocate. Rest in Power Uncle.
05.01.2022 Labor can’t be bothered to campaign, so their strategy is to trawl through old social media in an attempt to bully and intimidate candidates and volunteers. No wonder voters are fed up with politics as it currently stands.
04.01.2022 Rocklea residents asked the local MP for some greening of this unsightly road island, and got a mass of hot plastic astro-turf What were you thinking Peter Russo MP - Toohey? Just up the same road Moorooka has beautiful and well maintained street gardens. Why not Rocklea?
04.01.2022 So the state election is over. The Greens won a couple seats (yay!) and seem to have just missed out on a couple more. Through branch and committee meetings, elected reps like Amy and Jonno will be having lots of strategic conversations about where to focus energy and resources going forward. But Greens supporters who haven’t yet joined as party members might miss out on those discussions, so we wanted to set up other informal discussion spaces to allow more people to partici...pate in debates about strategy and campaign priorities. Please join us for an open forum where elected reps for the inner-south side will share insights and take questions about what resources and capacity we have and what opportunities are worth focussing on. We’ll also facilitate small group conversations to make sure everyone gets a chance to share some thoughts. Where: Harmony Gardens, Dutton Park, off TJ Doyle Memorial Drive When: Sunday, 15 November, 4 to 6pm We hope to organise multiple events like this over the coming months, so if you can’t make this particular session, don’t stress too much. No formal decisions will be made at this forum it’s purely a space to share ideas, and for key power-holders in the Greens to hear directly from all the amazing people who’ve worked so hard to help us get elected. This is a relaxed open-air setting in the park. You might like to bring along a picnic blanket or some folding chairs if you don’t want to sit on the grass, but we’ll make sure we have a few extra chairs handy for people who need them. The space is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets close at hand. There’s a playground nearby where kids can play while parents participate in the discussion. We haven't organised any catering, but if anyone feels like bringing along some snacks to share, or maybe even some vegan sausages to cook on the BBQ, feel free to take the initiative! This forum will be rescheduled in the event of extreme weather, but if a summer storm comes through in the early arvo and things clear up afterwards, we'll probably still go ahead with a casual get-together.
04.01.2022 Our democracy should not be for sale.
04.01.2022 #RaiseTheAge Getting more Greens elected to State parliament is step towards raising the age of criminal responsibility in Queensland.
