24.01.2022 Today Thomas took part in the Swimming ACT Team at Sydney Aquatics Centre for the 2021 Speedo Sprint Final. He achieved new PBs in each event but the overall experience of standing on the same starting block and swimming where the Olympics were held 21 years ago is one he will never forget.

We've discussed holding a dinner, and/or other event, as well as our usual swim meet in February, but will consider any ideas people may have.... If you are interested in helping us, or know someone who might like to - the first meeting will be at 7pm, 7 April at Queanbeyan Leagues Club boardroom. 11.01.2022 Good evening QLSC members, I hope this email finds you safe and well. The QLSC committee have been communicating with the QPRC Aquatic Centre recently, with the current planned easing of restrictions it is not feasible for squad swimming to return this term. We hope to commence squad training when school starts back in Term 3, though this will be dependent on the government guidelines allowing it. In preparation for a return of squad swimming in Term 3, we need all members to... confirm they will be returning to squad. Can all members please confirm via email to [email protected] that they will (or will not) be returning to squad. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY VIA THIS POST! We need this information by 30 June to allow us to negotiate with the coaches and pool. Please also include how many days per week, which days and morning/afternoon session confirmation so we can adequately plan accordingly. I would encourage you all to check for the latest updates from SNWS here: https://nsw.swimming.org.au//governan/covid-19-snsw-advice and general government updates here: https://www.australia.gov.au/ Stay safe, and we hope to be able to update you on recommencement in the coming weeks. QLSC Committee.

11.01.2022 Hi All Although QPRC pool has swimming lessons starting back on Monday 27th July, this does not include squad swimming. COVID-19 restrictions do not allow all regular hirers and programs to share the space as before. As soon as we have more of an update, another email will be sent out. Please let us know if you are not receiving our emails via [email protected] and we can email updates directly.... Hang in there and keep up land based activities. https://www.speedo.com//Sites/BRG%3aen_MU/GeoShow-Content Mel

05.01.2022 Hello everyone, 1. Squad training advice - we need your responses to the below BY 5pm Wednesday 19 August, please. We have been offered some sessions, with 6 swimmers only per lane. Depending on the response, sessions will commence Monday 24 August.... Session times are 6.30 - 8pm Monday to Thursday (only 1 lane available to us on Wednesdays). We may also be able to offer 45minute morning sessions (Mon - Fri), commencing 6.30am (tbc). Due to the expected lack of morning swimmers, we will probably only provide 1 or 2 sessions per week. Let me (Di Silk) know [email protected] which days and sessions are preferred, so swimmer preferences can be collated. Also indicate which group your swimmers in. Please be aware that we may need to roster swimmers to sessions, due to the limitations. This means your swimmer may not get the number of sessions requested.
